INDULGE YOURSELF (NEW!!) 1 day workshop
The most popular of classes right now!! "One on One" instruction. I come to your home, clubhouse or classroom. You get 6 hours of instruction and you choose the class topic. Most popular for this is "Embellishments Galore", "Seascape Wallhanging", "Freemotion Quilting" and "Gathering of Leaves". I will even schedule this class for just one or two people. I love teaching in the small group setting as everyone gets hands on instruction for $100.00 per student.

Gathering of Leaves (NEW!!) 1 or 2 day workshop
Do leaves and twigs and nature inspire you? Get ready to indulge yourself in the discovery of dimensional leaves. We will start by preparing a 12"x12" background fabric and then move on to creating our leaf components using all different types of fabrics, fibers and threads. Next we will compose an art quilt using leaves, fibers, beads and buttons. This class is for the intermediate sewer who is comfortable with free motion techniques or with the decorative stitches on their sewing machine. Much of the Process work is done in class and the final composition may be completed at home if time does not allow. Class kits are available for $40.00

Seascape Wallhanging 1 or 2 day workshop
Have you seen the wonderful sea life garments and quilts that Heidi creates? Let her help you with a vision of an underwater paradise full of sea life, kelp, anemones and little gems. See her featured underwater block from the 2004 Quilting Arts Calendar and learn the creative ways to use beads, buttons, charms and water-soluble shapes on fabrics.

*Note* This class is for the intermediate sewer who is comfortable with free-motion techniques. Much of the Process work is done in class and the final composition is completed at home. Class kits are available for $30.00.

Embellishments Galore 1 or 2 day workshop
Are you yearning to learn how to add dimension and sparkle to your quilts and wearables? Come join our local Bernina Fashion Show Designer, Heidi Lund for a day of glitz and fun. Be prepared to learn machine and hand work. You'll work on 10x10 sample squares using, fibers, buttons, beads, tulle, felt, ultra suede, silk ribbon, fabric scraps and crinkled shapes to achieve the embellishment you desire. Heidi will lead you through a step a step process of layering these techniques for one of a kind works of art. This is a class for all levels of sewers.

*Note* With this class I hand out a reference list for books and online sources for information and supplies on wearables. I also give a supply list ahead of time to send to students with their registration confirmation. And class kits are available for $30.00.

COLLAGE QUILTS (NEW!!) 1 day workshop
Create a fabric and fiber collage of Op Art or themed with animals, fish, flowers, chickens, leaves, Holiday etc. Come and learn the fun and innovative fabric collage and free motion stitching techniques. Come and learn this fun and innovative fabric collage and free motion stitching techniques. Let Heidi Lund help you free up your creative juices. Your art will come alive with color, design and collage in this exciting class. Whether you like animals, flowers, fish, holidays, theme prints or leaves, this fabric collage method is for you.

3-Dimensional Flowers and Shapes 1 day workshop
Have you seen Heidi's "Forest of Flowers" vest or are you itching to try your hand at 3-dimensional flowers? Learn how to create some wonderful 3-dimensional shapes for use on your quilts, wall hangings and wearables. Bring your sewing machine, a fat quarter pack or 4x4 and larger scraps of fabric. Heidi will help you make templates and lead you through some of these marvelous designs.

*Note* If you don't have a sewing machine, come anyway and you can learn to do the techniques by hand. This is a class for all levels of sewers.

Freeform Machine Threadplay 1 day workshop
This is a great class to learn how to do freeform machine work. Heidi will share some of her methods on how she's created some of her award winning garments and quilts. You'll learn secrets of successful stabilizing, free motion and grid quilting, stippling and continuous curve threadwork. **You must have a sewing machine in good working order and be familiar with its operation. Darning foot or freemotion quilting foot required. This is a class for all levels of sewers.

Low Water Immersion Fabric Dyeing 1 day workshop
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at fabric dyeing? Come and learn this fun and innovative way to dye fabrics. We will be using small recyclable containers and zippered freezer baggies to dye fabric in. The results are truly amazing with much success on a first time basis. Once you see the hand dyed results you will be hooked!

*Note* Kit fee is $40.00 per student which will cover the cost of procion dyes, baggies, table and floor coverings, stirring and measuring implements and synthropol.. Pimatex PFD and Kona PFD cotton will be for sale at $7.00 per yard.

Surface Design for Art Quilts (NEW!) 1 & 2 day workshops
Do you love the look of painted, stamped or crinkled backgrounds? Do you want a new surface design to attach your embellishments to? Let Heidi teach you some of the ways that she starts her art quilts and wearables. Come and learn this fun and innovative way to stretch your creativity by stamping, stenciling, painting, frosting and texturing your backgrounds. This is also a great way to make whole cloth fabrics. Two day workshops also include some work with airbrushing but is limited to 15 students due to "brush time". Airbrushing also requires use in an outside setting, or inside setting with plenty of ventilation.

*Note* Kit fee is $40.00 per student which will cover the cost of table and floor coverings, use of Lumiere acrylic paints, Createx Airbrush paints, fusible interfacing, stamps and stencils. Kona Cotton and Pimatex cottons are available for sale at $7.00yard.

Lecture/Trunk Show to Guilds, Workshops or Luncheons 1 to 1.5 hour
Lectures and Trunk Show content are put together at the request of the attendees. Some are strictly wearables, where others are wearables and art quilts. An option includes the use of slides for close up of techniques and embellishments. A question and answer time is always left at the end so that other artists can indulge themselves to ask just about anything they want. Heidi always brings a few magazines and books that feature her work for sale.
