Frosted Moth Chrysalis $1800
12" x 12" Square
Quilt created with white pimatex cotton layered on top of a wool batting and a layer of cotton batting. Free motion machine work was
completed with Sulky rayon thead and sulky metallic thread. Cocoons and leaves were created with organza, tulle and silk dupioni.
Entire piece is covered in beads and embellished with ribbon, cording and fun fur yarn. Edges are finished with twisted fibers.

Quilting Arts Magazine hosted its sixth annual calendar contest in the spring of 2006.
Readers were challenged to answer the question 'How Does Your Garden Grow?' in stitch, fabric, and embellishments. The quilts could
depict an actual or abstract garden or visually describe how the artists nurture themselves or others, what they have accomplished in
their life or work, or something or someone they are proud to have cultivated.
